Webinar

Description:

The Society for California Archaeology (SCA) has developed guidance for planners, consultants, and others on how to evaluate the significance of and potential impacts to cultural resources in CEQA review of proposed development projects. This guidance will be the subject of an on line Zoom training from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2020. The training will focus on how to complete the section of the CEQA Initial Study that focusses on cultural resources, including archaeological, historic built environment, and tribal cultural resources. In addition, the training will provide guidance on a suggested format and content for CEQA technical reports on cultural resources. This training is relevant for all CEQA practitioners but is particularly relevant to people with less experience conducting CEQA analysis of cultural resources. The training will be presented by Dr. Glenn S. Russell, current Southern Vice President of the SCA and Planning Director (retired) for the County of Santa Barbara. Copies of guidance documents will be provided.
